This bathroom renovation in Burns Beach involved a significant reworking of the home’s layout to make better use of the available space. We converted a family room into a bedroom and transformed a study into a fully equipped ensuite, creating a much more functional layout for modern living.
To support the new configuration, we cut a new doorway through the existing family room wall and bricked up sections of the hallway to form clearly defined, private areas. Next Mike from Coast Runner Plumbing and Gas took care of the piping getting water in and out where we needed it. Inside the ensuite, we installed 1200mm x 600mm porcelain tiles from floor to ceiling, giving the space a consistent, high-end finish with minimal grout lines.
The walk-in shower includes a built-in niche and a solid tiled bench seat for added comfort and convenience. All plumbing was carefully repositioned during the early stages of the project to suit the new layout, and the space now features a clean, open design that’s easy to maintain and use.
The result is a seamless, functional ensuite that blends in naturally with the rest of the home while significantly improving daily comfort.
