This bathroom renovation in Kingsley focused on improving both layout and function without increasing the bathroom’s footprint. The original configuration felt narrow and enclosed, with a dividing wall separating the toilet from the main bathroom and an external window limiting how the space could be used.
To open things up, we removed the internal toilet wall and bricked up the old window space. New, well-placed windows were installed to maintain natural light while allowing a more versatile layout. This gave us the freedom to reposition fixtures and create a more cohesive flow through the room.

A key feature of the new design is the 1200mm-high tiled shelf that spans the rear shower wall. Not only does it serve a practical purpose – providing space for bath products without crowding the floor or corners – it also adds a clean horizontal line that anchors the room. To break that line and add texture, we integrated a 70mm x 300mm vertical feature tile strip, adding subtle contrast and visual interest.
The choice of 600mm x 600mm porcelain terrazzo-look tiles for both the floors and walls creates a unified look while maintaining durability and ease of cleaning. These tiles bring a modern feel while still being soft enough in tone to keep the room warm and welcoming.
Other key features include a wall-hung timber vanity with twin vessel basins, mirrored cabinets with integrated storage, and a frameless glass shower panel that keeps the sightlines open and the room feeling spacious. The updated lighting and extraction system ensure the space is as practical as it is good-looking.

This Kingsley bathroom now feels larger, brighter and far more usable – proof that thoughtful design can make a big difference, even within the existing walls.
