This bathroom renovation in North Beach was completed for an elderly couple in their 80s who needed a space that was easier to move around in, safer to use, and more aligned with modern standards. The original layout included a built-in bathtub that took up a significant portion of the room and made access difficult.

By removing the bath and opting for a walk-in shower with a frameless glass panel, we were able to open up the space significantly. The result is a cleaner, more open room that is both functional and easy to maintain.
We also installed discreet safety rails near the toilet and inside the shower, offering reliable support without compromising on appearance. These rails were chosen to match the finish of the surrounding tapware and accessories, allowing them to blend seamlessly into the design.
The large-format floor and wall tiles in a soft stone-grey finish bring a calm, modern tone to the space while reducing grout lines and improving cleanability. Twin vessel basins sit atop a floating vanity, giving the room a more spacious feel and making it easier to clean beneath.

Lighting was also upgraded, with flush-mount ceiling lights ensuring good visibility throughout the space. Combined with the soft, natural light from the large window, the new layout feels brighter and more welcoming.
This renovation has improved safety, usability, and appearance – making daily routines more comfortable while updating the look of the home.
